Planning's Constraints/Limitation/Disadvantages of business


Although planning is one of the important and primary functions of management required for each and every types of organization however there are some draw back however there are some advantages of planning also have so they are:-
I) Time Consuming process
The process of planning take shorten times. Different steps or planning required or consumes long time, such time can miss the opportunities of business such opportunities may be contingent (fast).
II) Costly process
Planning needs skills for manpower additional office accommodation, collection and analysis of data and information, identification analysis and evaluation of different alternatives for which a business organization should explain additional cost or expansion.
III) Rigidity
Planning creates the environment or rigidity in the business because planning executed according to predetermine policies rules and regulation.
IV) Diminishing Imitativeness
Planning if formulated by top level management and it’s implemented by lower level management it reduces the creative, imitativeness, encourage, tendency of accepting changing jobs therefore diminishing of imitativeness one of the constant of planning.
V) Inaccurate or lack of Reliable data
Planning depends upon planning premises. Information, data and facts that are use in planning premises should be accurate and correct. If such data and information are assumenations of planning are incorrect or unreliable then there is a high chance of formulating wrong planning therefore lack of reliable data is one of the major constant of planning.
VI) Unsuitable in the situation of (fast) Rapid change
Rapid change in demand of customers, technology, way of business dealing politics, rules and regulations etc can impact the implementation and success of planning a plan is formulated to achieve predetermined goals and it cannot accept such types of changes.
